CONNECT is a hands-on multimedia journalism training experience for college students and recent graduates
Real-world reporting
Produce portfolio-quality journalism at the NLGJA National Convention and across the host city, from breaking news to in-depth features
Expert mentorship
Work directly with journalists from organizations like NPR, the Associated Press and The New York Times throughout the program
Multimedia training
Report, edit, photograph, design and produce content across platforms, building skills in your specialty and beyond
All expenses covered
Airfare, hotel and convention registration are fully covered. Participants receive complimentary access to all convention programming
Career development
Get feedback on your resume and career plans from working journalists, and network with media professionals from across the industry
Published work
Your reporting will be published on the CONNECT website and presented during a dedicated session at the National Convention
